Illustrated to the right is a notable board from Words With Friends for iPhone, a game I was introduced to by my friend Brett (also referred to as Bretton or the sexist man alive). Now in this particular instance, aside from annihilating my opponent (who shall remain nameless and is not Brett), I also took the initiative to bring back back some words which.. well, let’s just say I was delighted to find out were actually words. Let’s take a closer look.
- Jow [
jou, joh] – the ringing, tolling or sound of a bell; or to hit or strike - Fug [fuhg] – stale air; humid, warm, ill-smelling air of a crowded room
- Loo [loo] – card game in which forfeits are paid into a pool; lavatory
Well, okay, I did know “loo” was a word, but only in the English sense. I also have to make note of this little tidbit: the last word formed was “Amen.” By me, of course.
